We Are Back

Ok so we are back on the blog front!!!!
I have just written one but turned my laptop off and it didnt save which is horrible!!

So here we go again......
Since the last time i "blogged" Right Turn Left have been and gone. It was good to have those guys out with us, having some friends on tour definatly helps break up the monotony of tour.
Today we are in Koln at The Werkstadtt weve played here once before and the show was great so its good to be back!!
The boys are doing a few interviews at the moment, Grant is still in Berlin so we are awaiting his return tomorrow!!

The show in Berlin was really good, we had a lot of fun playing and partying afterwards!! The Shutes came out for that show it was good to see those guys again and we also made some new friends in the form of The Official Secrets Act, so fun was had by all. We are now ploughing through the shows and i think we only have 12 left after tonight! im going to make a concious effort to update this more often as ive been neglecting it of late (sorry Jim).
Tomorrow we go to Munster to play Amp another place we have been to a couple of time before.
No photos today but ill put up a few more tomorrow!!!

Hamburg-Hafenklang

So here is some more pointless ramblings from me...........................After the disappointment of the football i was looking forward to todays show!! we had a nice chilled out morning played some square ball which showed how unfit we all really are!!! Hamburg was soooooo hot it was awesome, so after a morning of footy and sun soaking, we headed to the venue for soundcheck!!
The boys had another instore acoustic show today so they went off to do that whilst myself and the Wezz set up!! soundcheck went swimmingly which was a relief after the Leipzig debacle!! The show was awesome tonight best crowd of the tour and although it was boiling in the venue (even Nealy Boy was sweating!!!) the boys tore it up again!!
After the show we hung around for a few beers and participated in the phonomenon that is punk rock table tennis!!! this game is amazing!! we played for about 4 hours with Adam eventually beating some German dude in the final!!! come on!! Last night we might of had a few too many beers between us and today was pretty nasty!!!

Ive got the swine flu which isnt great but im ploughing on!!!

Tonight we are playing in Giessen Right Turn Left have joined us today! it will be nice to have those guys out for a few shows il will update again tomorrow!!!!

Leipzig Day 3

Well Leipzig turned out to be eventfull..........for all the WRONG reasons.......Sweat club turned out to be well pretty sweaty and lets just say an interesting experience!!!

After enduring what turned out to be one of the longest and most badly organised/pointless soundchecks ever, the shouw turned out to be suprisingly good. I was expecting it to be a night of techinal disasters but everything held together and the boys ripped it up as expected!!

After a few casual drinks and a mamouth load out (every venue on this tour so far has had stairs) we hit the hay!!! Only to wake up this morning to find someone trying to tow our van from the car park we were told to park it in!! After a lengthy debate and a chat with a freindly copper we sorted it and left Leipzig victorious!!

We have a day off to recover from the trauma of last nights debacle, which we spent watching my beloved Newcastle get relegated at the hands of Jack, Sam and Adams beloved Villa, pretty gut wrenching to say the least!!

We are now in Hamburg for a night of before playing Hafenklang tomorrow, as well as another one of those acoustic record store shing digs.

Update on the current favourite tour past time...............THE WIRE it is slowly taking over our lives. Having just listened to the first 3 episodes due to my driving duties i finally got to get involved on a few visuals tonight and its pretty fucking good!! check it out if youve got a spare few days to lose!!

Dresden Day 2

Yo Yo people of the interweb, we are currenty sat backstage (kind of) in Leipzig, just about to load in and get show 2 underway!!

First show of the tour yesterdy was sick!! Sam and the Jacks did an instore yesterday acoustically they were pleased with it, got a couple more of them on the tour aswell!! later however at the show the boys played the longest set Ive ever seen Eight Legs play at 1 hour 20 mins. We have somehow after our massive journey to East Germany managed to have a nice and relaxed couple of days to start off this month long stint.
Currently frisbee is top of our tour past times list, given ourselves a good workout over the last couple of days we are all pretty out of shape though, think we managed 5 mins this morning before we had to ave a break.
Sweat Club Leipzig tonight seen the venue should be a sweaty one (no pun intended).............keep following us on this ting i new to it so learning as i go!!!

Eight Legs crew massive

London - Dresden

The story of tour starts with an epic 14 hour straight drive to Dresden!!! Some of us got about an hours sleep last night some didnt sleep at all and then we ended up doing the whole drive in one becuase the thought of waking up in Dresden tomorrow was far to appealing!!! So after 14 hours of driving, channel tunnel, various service stations in various countries and the worst hail storm you've ever seen we hit Dresden.
We got here about an hour ago checked into a hotel round the corner from the venue and we're all just about to crash out for the night. Instore tomorrow then the first show of this mammouth month long tour.


I will try and update this as often as possible, ill gte some photos up soon and check the myspace for the video blogs!!
